Get Ready for 2023 Q-2 beginning Tuesday, April 4th!

I absolutely LOVE the tunes from the 60’s and 70’s! It was the time for coming of age and for testing new levels of freedom and independence. We were young, full of energy and had the confidence to take on the world. Many current studies on the aging population show noticeable cognitive function and memory improvement when the subjects are exposed to their favorite and familiar songs. As we prepare to begin another session, my online Fusion Fitness ZOOM classes will continue to feature favorite tunes from past to present.

Q-2 2023 No Muss, No Fuss -- Bands R Us!  is THE wake up call for bodies that have become accustomed to working out with weights. This is the ultimate, effective workout that calls for a greater amount of active muscle fibers while lowering the amount of force on your joints. A set of varying resistance bands is inexpensive, easy to take anywhere, safe to use, and provides a full body workout. Additionally, I recommend wearing padded cycling or weight lifting gloves. These will add additional padding to assist with your grip while holding the bands. 

  • 1 SET (3 bands with varying resistance) of FLAT, elasticized resistance bands (NO LOOPS) You can click HERE for a link to a sample
  • a firm-backed chair used for some seated exercises and for support during stretching and upright movements (dining or office --no rollers or swivels)
  • Gliders or sliding discs (exercises can be done with or without) CLICK HERE FOR EXAMPLE
  • Please wear comfortable workout clothing, sturdy athletic shoes (no bare feet or socks), and have water handy to stay hydrated.

Beyond Abs and Backs -- classes continue to offer some familiar exercises and postures (including the ultimate Plank). The Q-2 2023 session will add more safe exercises to support the aging spine. Bare feet are USUALLY recommended, however, during the Q-2 2023 session, athletic shoes with good tread are recommended.  Please use a thick exercise mat or rolled towel to provide comfort when kneeling, a Yoga strap for stretching exercises, a SMALL Yoga ball, and a Yoga block for additional support.
