CAREER:  I spent many years in accounting as a tax practitioner, a discipline that was based on building and maintaining personal, confidential and professional relationships. It was also a business that required specialization because no two clients were the same and their needs were diverse.

PASSIONMy lifelong passion for exercise and healthy eating helped me to survive grueling tax seasons, long days seated at a laptop, client "emergencies", continuous deadlines and the stress that came with the job.  Now that I am "Gram" with three awesome grandchildren, I am especially interested in active, healthy aging. Observing the national tragedy of high obesity rates and the proliferation of fad diets and cures, I decided to become part of the solution and started pursuing a formal education in physiology, exercise and nutrition.
