CAREER: I spent many years in accounting as a tax practitioner, a discipline that was based on building and maintaining personal, confidential and professional relationships. It was also a business that required specialization because no two clients were the same and their needs were diverse.
PASSION: My lifelong passion for exercise and healthy eating helped me to survive grueling tax seasons, long days seated at a laptop, client "emergencies", continuous deadlines and the stress that came with the job. Now that I am "Gram" with three awesome grandchildren, I am especially interested in active, healthy aging. Observing the national tragedy of high obesity rates and the proliferation of fad diets and cures, I decided to become part of the solution and started pursuing a formal education in physiology, exercise and nutrition.
As I slowly retired from accountancy, I eased into my Encore Career.
